Every saint at GLF is equipped to be a minister of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ! Following are some of the ministry leaders, whom you can contact if you'd like to get involved here:
Frank Friedmann, Pastor
Frank's bio can be found on the "Who We Are" page. He has been the pastor of GLF for 16 years.
Tim Chalas, Student Pastor
Tim has been the student pastor at GLF for 11 years. He and his wife, Kathryn, have 3 children: Caroline, Andrew, and Olivia. He is an LSU alumnus and attended Bible college at Ravencrest in Colorado. Check out the Student Ministry page for info about this exciting ministry, and contact Tim for all things teen!
Barbara Rolen, Children's Ministry Director
Barbara and her husband, Michael, have been married for 30 years and have attended GLF since its early days! They have two children: David, 25; and Chris, 22. Barbara became the full-time steward of the children's ministry three years ago. Before that, she worked for years as an elementary educator in addition to working as the part-time children's director here. She earned her BA in elementary education from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.
Christian Anders, Creative Arts Leader
Christian came onboard in April 2008 and has dramatically changed the face of worship at GLF. He graduated with a BS from LSU in 2007. He then worked as the operations assistant for the national champion LSU football team. He has been married to Brittany for two years and they have one son, Noah. Lauren Cooper, Administrator
Lauren and her husband, Rich, have been married for 20 years and have attended GLF for four years. They have three children: Kent, 18; Collyn, 16; and Will, 14. Lauren earned her BA in English education from the University of Georgia and has worked as a teacher, schoolmaster, and administrative pastor. Shawnelle Chapman, Secretary
Shawnelle and her husband, Jonathan, have attended GLF since Sept 2008. They have been married for 17 years and have two daughters--Kirsten,15, and Madeline,14. Prior to stepping into her current position, Shawnelle worked for over three years as an administrative assistant and children's music director at another local church. Shawnelle is responsible for the day-to-day operations at the church; contact her if you have any questions about what's going on!
Josh Pitre, Audio-Visual Technician
Josh has worked in sound for many years, and we are blessed to have his expertise! He is a full-time student at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he is studying to become a social worker. Josh has also spent time in the missions field and has a heart for that kind of ministry. He is fluent in Spanish. Roberta Schroeder, Bookkeeper
Roberta and her husband, Frank, have attended GLF for about nine years. They have been married for 31 years, and have a 14-year-old son, Daniel.
